The statement of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Sharad Pawar has heated up the politics of Maharashtra. Sharad Pawar has said that PM Modi had offered him two years ago to form a coalition government in Maharashtra. which he had turned down.
Sharad Pawar was remembering that sentence from 2 years ago. When no party got a clear majority in the Maharashtra Assembly elections and BJP emerged as the single largest party. Sharad Pawar said that on November 20, 2019, he had met PM Narendra Modi. In that program, both of them talked about politics and development of the country.
According to Sharad Pawar, in that program, PM Narendra Modi had offered him to work together with NCP and BJP in Maharashtra. According to Sharad Pawar, PM Modi had offered to induct his daughter and Baramati MP Supriya Sule in the Union Cabinet if the two parties get an alliance.
Sharad Pawar claimed that he had politely turned down this offer of PM Modi. He had made it clear to PM Modi that it is not possible and he does not want to keep him in the dark on this matter.
Nationalist Congress Party chief Sharad Pawar on Wednesday praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, saying, “He works very hard.” He said that now he is not in the race for the post of PM and will work to advance the new generation.
