On the occasion of National Teachers’ Day, President Droupadi Murmu is set to felicitate 75 teachers from various educational institutions across the country with the National Teachers’ Award. This year, the prestigious award has been expanded to include teachers from the Department of Higher Education and the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.
The awardees include 50 school teachers, 13 from different colleges, and 12 from various government institutes. These educators have been selected in recognition of their outstanding contributions to teaching.
The National Teachers’ Award ceremony will acknowledge the dedication and excellence of educators in enhancing the quality of education in India.
“The purpose of National Teachers’ Award is to celebrate the unique contribution of teachers in the country and to honor those teachers who, through their commitment and dedication, have not only improved the quality of education but also enriched the lives of their students,” read a statement by the ministry of education.
