BJP Demands Apology from Rahul Gandhi for “Panauti Modi” Remark
During a poll rally in Rajasthan, Rahul Gandhi referred to the Prime Minister as “Panauti Modi” (PM means Panauti Modi), implying that Modi’s presence at the ICC World Cup final brought bad luck to the Indian cricket team.
The BJP condemned Rahul’s remarks, stating that it reflects the Congress’ frustration and asserted that Prime Minister Modi is respected by the country and the world for his vision and hard work. Former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad criticized Rahul Gandhi, recalling how the Congress faced consequences in Gujarat after Sonia Gandhi referred to Modi as “maut ka saudagar” (merchant of death).
Expressing vehement condemnation for Rahul’s comments, Ravi Shankar Prasad demanded an apology and warned of escalating the matter if not addressed. He emphasized that Rahul’s remarks reveal his true colors and understanding.
The exchange underscores the ongoing political tensions, with the BJP accusing Rahul Gandhi of resorting to offensive language against the Prime Minister.
