Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi urged for respect for political rivals in a post on X on July 12. Speaking especially of Smriti Irani, he said that negativity and nasty language are symptoms of weakness, not strength, and that both winning and losing are part of life.
Rahul Gandhi’s Message
Rahul Gandhi demanded an end to dehumanising and offensive remarks made in the political sphere. He said, “Winning and losing happen in life. I urge everyone to refrain from using derogatory language and being nasty towards Smt. Smriti Irani or any other leader for that matter. Humiliating and insulting people is a sign of weakness, not strength.”
