What is the plea?
He argued that the BJP shouldn’t have a candidate in the Andheri (East) and by-election be held in order for Rutuja Latke, who is running in lieu of her late husband Ramesh Latke, a Shiv Sena MLA, to prevail.
In the letter to “Dear buddy Devendra,” he stated, “I suppose by doing this we are paying honour to the late representative of the people.” “Additionally, doing so is consistent with Maharashtra’s rich cultural heritage. I’m hoping you’ll agree to my proposal “Added he.

Ramesh Latke was “a good worker,” according to Mr. Thackeray.
“From his position as branch chief, he began his political career. I have been present for his political ascent. If Ramesh’s widow is elected to the legislature after his passing, then his soul would rest in peace “Raj Thackeray penned.
Pratap Sarnaik, an MLA from the Shinde group, has also sent Chief Minister Eknath Shinde a letter asking him to order BJP candidate Murji Patel to withdraw from the race against Sena candidate Rutuja Latke.
The deadline to withdraw from the Andheri East Bypoll is today.
After leaving the Shiv Sena in 2006 because of disagreements with Uddhav Thackeray, the MNS leader founded his own party.
The letter has received no response from the BJP. The BJP candidate, Murji Patel, has stated that he is willing to quit the contest if the group so requests.
The letter from Raj Thackeray comes amid a savage battle between the two Sena groups over the next election and the bigger issue of taking over Bal Thackeray’s legacy.
The Maha Vikas Aghadi government, led by Uddhav Thackeray, was overthrown in June thanks to a mutiny led by Eknath Shinde of the Sena.
The Thackeray-led camp has previously criticised the BJP for forcing a race.
The Eknath Shinde faction has also been charged with attempting to undermine their candidate before of the polls by persuading the Mumbai civic council to reject her resignation.
Ms. Latke, a clerk employed by the Brihanmumbai Corporation, was forced to go before the courts and submit her candidacy only in response to a court order.
