Rajasthan News: CM Ashok Gehlot is off on a journey today, amidst the preparations for Rajasthan Assembly elections. This voyage is being launched as part of the Mission-2023 initiative. CM Gehlot will begin a nine-day tour of the state’s 18 districts today. During this, he will travel 3160 kilometers and visit 10 big temples and cover 38 assembly seats in 18 districts. A lot of political discussions are taking place in the state regarding this suddenly starting journey. In such a situation, let us understand the meaning of this journey.
The Political Dynamics Behind the Delay of CM Gehlot’s Jan Ashirwad Yatra in East Rajasthan
In fact, CM Gehlot was planning to conduct a five-day Jan Ashirwad Yatra in East Rajasthan prior to this one, which will begin as part of the Mission-2023 campaign, to demand information about the status of the national project for the East Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP). However, this trip was abruptly postponed. It was said that this yatra will be taken out after the model code of conduct is implemented. On the other hand, many political discussions gained momentum regarding postponement of Jan Ashirwad Yatra. It was said that Sachin Pilot has influence on Eastern Rajasthan, in such a situation gathering crowd in the yatra without Pilot will be a big challenge. There may be opposition to the yatra, as well as mutual differences between the workers of Gehlot-Pilot camp may also come to the fore.
Yatra Amidst BJP’s Accusations of Anti-Hindu Stance
The Parivartan Sankalp Yatra, which the BJP had initiated in all four directions of the state, recently came to an end. Chief Ministers from numerous states and BJP leaders at the national level took part in these visits. The sessions held during the yatras were dominated by topics like corruption, Hindu nationalism, and crime against women. On these grounds, BJP leaders vehemently attacked the Congress and CM Ashok Gehlot. Even Gehlot was referred to as an admirer of Babar and Aurangzeb by Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma. The Kanhaiyalal murder case, allowing PFI rallies, and forbidding the organisation of Hindu festivals were all reasons why the BJP leaders targeted the Congress administration and Gehlot. In other words, BJP leaders sought to paint Congress and CM Gehlot as anti-Hindu and followers of Sanatan. It is reported that Gehlot has chosen to go on a yatra under Mission 2023 while discussing development in order to refute the accusations of BJP leaders and to restore his reputation. Gehlot will also stop at 10 significant temples spread across 19 districts during this expedition.
Gehlot’s 3160 KM Journey
Ashok Gehlot, the chief minister, would use this trip to get suggestions from the populace on how to transform Rajasthan into a model state. The more effective and significant recommendations from this document will be incorporated in the public manifesto. The trek will travel through Jaipur, Sikar, Churu, Nagaur, Hanumangarh, Sriganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Jodhpur, Pali, Sirohi, Jalore, Rajsamand, Udaipur, Dungarpur, Banswara, and Chittorgarh while covering a distance of 3160 kilometres in nine days. 38 assembly districts are included in the yatra. Additionally, this includes congressionally vulnerable seats like Khinvsar and Jaisalmer. Additionally, there will be five road shows, eleven town hall meetings, and ten street meetings with public interactions at 16 locations. CM Gehlot will offer prayers in the major and famous temples during the yatra.
