Voting will be held on May 10 in the Karnataka assembly elections. After this, the counting of votes will take place on May 13. 58282 polling stations have been set up in Karnataka. In such a situation, it seemed that the election would be held in two phases, but it did not happen. The Election Commission has decided to hold polling for all the seats together. The commission has completed preparations for this. Along with this, security arrangements are also being made. The Election Commission has made it clear that it will try to conduct the elections peacefully. Necessary arrangements have been made for this.
What was the previous result of Karnataka?
Karnataka has 224 assembly seats. In the result of the year 2018, no party got majority. However, BJP emerged as the single largest party with 104 seats. After this Congress captured 80 seats and JDS 37 seats. Initially, BJP tried to form the government, but things did not work out. JDS and Congress alliance won. HD Kumaraswamy got the CM’s chair in this alliance.
