Independent MP Pappu Yadav, from Purnia in Bihar, is currently under serious threat. He has reportedly received death threats from members of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. The threat warned him to “stay away” from matters involving actor Salman Khan, or face serious consequences. These alarming threats have emerged after the gang’s involvement in the recent murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique in Mumbai. In light of these developments, Yadav has taken action by filing complaints with the authorities, including the Director General of Police (DGP).
Pappu Yadav Receives Death Threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi Gang
The threats against Pappu Yadav are particularly concerning. Lawrence Bishnoi’s gang members claim they have full knowledge of his movements. One individual stated that the notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi is eager to communicate with Yadav. Allegedly, he offered to pay ₹1 lakh per hour to use a jammer in jail for this contact. Despite these overtures, Yadav has reportedly chosen not to respond.
Online Threats Intensify
Compounding the situation, a close associate of jailed gangster Aman, known as Mayank, recently issued a public threat against Yadav on social media. On October 26, using the Facebook account “Mayank Singh,” he warned Yadav to refrain from making negative comments about Lawrence Bishnoi. Mayank cautioned Yadav to “stick to politics quietly” and avoid drawing unwanted attention. He warned that otherwise, Yadav would face severe repercussions.
This threat was not just a written message; it circulated as an audio clip, amplifying the urgency of the situation. Reports indicate that Mayank is currently conducting criminal activities from Malaysia. Meanwhile, Aman, despite being imprisoned, continues to manage gang operations from behind bars.
Pappu Yadav Urges Immediate Police Action, Condemns Baba Siddique’s Murder
Pappu Yadav quickly reported the death threat to Bihar’s Director General of Police. He pressed for immediate action to investigate the gang’s spread across states. Yadav criticised the level of lawlessness, especially in Maharashtra, where Siddique’s murder has increased fears for public safety.
In a social media post, Yadav strongly condemned Siddique’s killing. He called it a “disgrace” and a clear sign of the lack of control over gang activities. “If the BJP-led government cannot protect its prominent leaders,” Yadav stated, “what hope is there for ordinary citizens?”
