Gujarat Election: The second and final phase of voting in Gujarat will take place tomorrow, and all of the major parties, including the BJP, Congress, and AAP, have made every effort to sway voters in their favour. However, the BJP’s formidable election machinery appears to have gained the upper hand over its rivals in terms of campaigning. On social media, it has been using targeted messages to reach voters, and it has focused on organising employees at the booth-level.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP stalwart and Delhi Chief Minister and AAP Convener Arvind Kejriwal have unleashed high decibel campaign in the final phase , the Congress on the other hand has focused on conducting a “low key” campaign and has been canvassing door to door to garner votes.

Congress focuses on a ‘silent campaign’ canvassing for votes door to door
BJP has planned Gujarat election campaign meticulously and has launched massive outreach campaign in constituencies which are strongholds of the Congress. Feedback from the ground is that BJP has been minutely analyzing each and every page of electoral rolls and each page of the electoral roll has a BJP panna committee to target the 30 voters on it.

BJP has deployed one panna pramukh per page and has six booth workers under each page committee. The atmosphere in the BJP office is upbeat and Congress office is empty.
Congress sources, meanwhile, have defended their party’s low-key campaign, stating that the party is running a silent campaign and that approximately 2,000 members of Congress were contacting voters.
On the other hand, AAP is aggressively promoting the “Kejriwal model” of governance and informing voters about the freebis offerd by Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi, Delhi such as zero electricity bill, zero water bill and cash in women’s account.
With more than 300 Whatsapp Groups developed for each constituency, compared to 20 created by the Congress and BJP, the BJP is far ahead of its rivals even on social media.
