Laying the foundation stone of a new military airport near the India-Pakistan border at Deesa in north Gujarat, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Wednesday that it will emerge as an effective center of security for the country.
At the opening ceremony of ‘Defence Expo 2022’ in Gujarat’s capital Gandhinagar, Modi said that the defense forces will release a list of 101 items whose imports will be banned.
What did PM Modi say?
He said that along with this, 411 equipment and equipment of the defense sector will be such which will be made in India itself. Prime Minister Modi said, “This will give a boost to the Indian defense industry.” He said that the new military airport to be built at Deesa in Banaskantha in North Gujarat will emerge as an effective center for the country’s security. Prime Minister Modi said that the export of Indian defense products has increased eight times in the last few years.
PM Modi inaugurated Defense Expo
PM Modi, who is visiting Gujarat, has inaugurated Defense Expo 2022 in Gujarat today. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting his home state of Gujarat for two days from October 19 to 20.
PM will inaugurate and lay foundation stones of various development projects worth Rs 15,670 crore in Gujarat. PM Modi will visit many places of Gujarat during his two-day visit and will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of development projects.
