India is entering an important phase of the vaccination campaign against the corona epidemic from today that is June 21. Corona vaccine will be provided free of cost by the central government to all the people above the age of 18 years in the country from today. Regarding this, Home Minister Amit Shah said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a big decision of free vaccination of all the citizens of the country, which has also been implemented across the country on the occasion of Yoga Day. India was already at the forefront of vaccination under the leadership of PM Modi and now we will accelerate its pace further.
Amit Shah said in his address, “A few days ago, PM Modi had taken an important decision that from June 21, all the people above the age of 18 years would be given free corona vaccine by the central government. With this, the speed of corona vaccination will be increased further. In a country with such a large population, providing free vaccines to all people above 18 years of age is a big decision in itself. I hope this will go a long way in protecting all citizens across the country from infection.”
With this, Shah has appealed to all the people to get the vaccine (Corona Vaccine) as soon as possible, as well as those who have got the first dose, they should take the second dose on time. He said that in July and August, a decision has been taken to further accelerate the pace of Covid vaccination. It will no longer be mandatory to register in advance on Co-Win from today, which is likely to increase the number of daily vaccinations. In this phase from today, the government aims to vaccinate 50 lakh people daily. As of now, the number of daily vaccinations is less than 40 lakhs.
The government has taken the initiative to make the private sector a part of this phase by ensuring the procurement of 25 percent vaccines for private hospitals, but the private sector will not be able to overcharge for this, as the price has been fixed. Though now pre-registration will not be required to get vaccinated but all vaccinations will be recorded on the co-win portal, so beneficiaries should ensure that they get registered on the site before vaccination.
