UP elections 2022: Akhilesh gets Sharad Pawar’s support, NCP will tie up with SP

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) will contest in alliance with the Samajwadi Party in the 2022 UP assembly elections. Nationalist Congress Party General Secretary KK Sharma and State President Umashankar Yadav said this in a press conference in Lucknow on Tuesday.

KK Sharma said that Uttar Pradesh is in bad condition. It will have to be rectified. Here we will fight the elections together with the Samajwadi Party. Talks have also been held with SP chief Akhilesh Yadav in this regard and now only seats are to be selected.

He said that party supremo Sharad Pawar has clearly said that in Uttar Pradesh, the NCP will have to raise the voice of the youth and the farmers because the BJP government there is creating a threat to democracy. Action is being taken against whoever is raising his voice and he is being suppressed.

He said that it is wrong to convert forcibly, but if someone is converting on his own will, then no one should have any objection to it. At the same time, state president Umashankar Yadav said that from August 1, the NCP will start the ‘Save the State, Save the Constitution’ movement across the state, in which the focus will be on farmers and youth. He said that the situation in Uttar Pradesh is bad. Farmers are fighting for their rights but they are not being heard. Now NCP is also with him in this campaign and will go from village to village and run the campaign.
