After the formation of the Congress government in Karnataka, now politics has started on the books. In fact, the Siddaramaiah government is now preparing to remove the biography of RSS founder Keshav Baliram Hedgewar from school books. Not only this, there is talk of removing people of right-wing ideology from the course material.
Government can issue circular soon
Along with this, the Siddaramaiah government is thinking of removing many more subjects from the syllabus of children during the BJP rule. According to the information, the Congress government may soon issue a circular regarding this.
Karnataka minister said this
Karnataka minister Dinesh Gundu Rao’s statement on this matter has also come to the fore.
Talk about improvement in textbooks
The minister said that we should have stories of people who have really contributed in nation building. Taking a jibe at the BJP, he said that if we talk about the freedom struggle, then only those who have participated in the freedom struggle should be shown and not your personal choice or the one you consider as your idol.
The minister said that the BJP has tried to insert its ideological issues in textbooks, which is not correct. Therefore, the Congress party has to take it very seriously and take corrective measures.
Congress MLC BK Hariprasad had said a few days back that the Congress government would not allow the inclusion of biographies of persons like RSS founder Hedgewar, who are ‘cowards’ and ‘fake freedom fighters’.
