Yogi will make SP MLA as deputy speaker, UP assembly session called for 6 hours tomorrow

With less than six months left for the term of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly to end, a special session of the UP Legislative Assembly has been called tomorrow so that the House can elect a new deputy speaker. Naresh Agarwal’s son Nitin Agrawal has filed nomination for this post as a BJP supported candidate.

Although the tradition has been that the opposition gets the post of deputy speaker, but Nitin Agarwal, who is officially an MLA of SP but has joined the BJP, has been made the candidate for this post by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Today Nitin Aggarwal filed his nomination in the presence of CM Yogi Adityanath and other ministers.

SP has also nominated a candidate in this election. So the fight has become interesting as SP vs SP. By the way, if Nitin Agarwal wins, his victory will be in the form of SP candidate supported by BJP.

Nitin Agarwal’s father Naresh Agarwal has been in SP for a long time. He has been a seven-time MLA from Hardoi. While in the SP, he has also been elected to the Rajya Sabha. He has also been in Congress. Presently he is in BJP. Agarwal comes from the Bania community. It is believed that the motive behind making Nitin Agarwal as Deputy Speaker just before the UP elections is also to please the Agarwal community.
