Porsche Macan EV Turbo: Following numerous leaks and spy photos, Porsche has finally revealed the new Macan EV. The Macan EV Turbo trim costs Rs 1,65,05,000 (ex-showroom) in India. The company has begun accepting orders for its electric SUV in the nation, with customer deliveries expected to start in the second half of the year. Porsche will sell the Macan EV in two global trim levels: Turbo and 4. But for the time being, only the Turbo trim is available in India.
Porsche Macan EV Turbo powertrain details
Using a single-speed transmission on each axle, the electric Macan models are powered by two permanent synchronous motors. With a peak speed of 220 kph and a combined 408 horsepower and 650 Nm, the Macan 4 can reach 100 kph in 5.2 seconds. The Macan Turbo offers 639hp and up to 1,130Nm for short durations of over boost which permits a 0-100kph in 3.3sec and a 260kph top speed.
Design details
In terms of design, the all-new Macan EV and the ICE Macan are very similar. However, with redesigned bumpers, wheels, taillamps with a full-width light strip, and unique headlamps, it sticks out. Actually, not only is the electric version of the Macan much longer, but it’s also wider and lower. Compared to the standard Macan, the EV’s roofline is more slanted.
Features onboard
Inside, the interior is identifiable and exactly like that of the latest Porsche models. The gear selector, nevertheless, is now located on the dashboard. The 12.6-inch driver display, 10.9-inch central information hub, and an optional 10.9-inch passenger screen are the three screens. An optional heads-up display with augmented reality (AR) is also available.
