Protest Against Price Hike: The Congress party will hold a massive nationwide protest against the price hike on August 5. The party has announced a march from Parliament to Rashtrapati Bhavan and “Prime Minister’s House Gherao” as part of its major protest.
In view of rising inflation in the country, the Congress party has announced to gherao the PM House. Many senior party leaders are likely to attend this march of the Congress. Several disruptions were witnessed in both the houses of Parliament this week over the price hike issue.
There is a possibility of a debate on inflation in the Lok Sabha on Monday, followed by a debate on the issue in the Rajya Sabha on Tuesday.
Significantly, the opposition has been raising the issue of rising prices and GST in both the houses since the beginning of the monsoon session on July 18.
Congress leaders are constantly targeting the Modi government in protest against the recently implemented GST on food items. At the same time, on the issue of rising prices and unemployment, the Congress is ready to demonstrate from Parliament to the road. The Congress party will hold a nationwide protest on August 5. Party MPs in Delhi will organize “Chalo Rashtrapati Bhavan” from Parliament in view of the protest and Congress Working Committee members and senior leaders will participate in “PM House Gherao” on the same day.
