Raju Srivastava: India mourns the death of ace comedian

Raju Srivastava: The ace comedian Raju Shrivastava breathed his last today. He had suffered a massive heart attack on Wednesday, August 10, while working out at the gym. Raju Srivastava was immediately rushed to AIIMS, Delhi after experiencing chest pain while working out on the treadmill. Since then, he was admitted in the hospital. Raju Srivastava was being constantly monitored by a team of doctors, but, his condition kept on deteriorating. He was brought to the hospital by his trainer where CPR was given twice to resuscitate his heart. However, his condition deteriorated further and he was put on ventilator support. The medical bulletin on August 12 stated that he had suffered severe brain damage.

He underwent angioplasty at AIIMS on August 10. But his condition soon turned critical and he was put on ventilator support. However, he did not respond to treatment as expected by the doctors.

He is survived by his wife, Shikha and two children, Antara and Ayushman.

Everyone had wished for his recovery but who knew that this wish would remain a wish.

Early Life

He was born on 25 December 1963, in Kanpur, India. He belonged from a middle class family, whos father was a poet. Since his childhood, he wanted to become a comedian.

Raju Srivastava got married in 1993. In 2010, he had received threating calls from Pakistan warning him not to crack jokes on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim and Pakistan.

Career

He gained popularity by mimicrying Amitabh Bachchan. He had performed many stage shows in India as well as abroad.

He started his carrier by doing small roles in bollywood movies. He was also second runner-up of ‘The Great Indian Laughter Challenge’ and also won the tittle of ‘The King Of Comedy’.

He was also the contestant of Big Boss season 3, Comedy Ka Maha Muqabala, Nach Baliye season 6 & Comedy Nights with Kapil.

This ace comedian said goodbye to the world very soon, his death is a huge loss to the world of comedy. No words or condolences can heal the wound of the family. May god give strength to his family. DNP family prays peace for his soul.
