Ranchi News: Ranchi Railway Division has sent a proposal to South-East Railway Headquarter Garden Reach, Kolkata to start Antyodaya Express from Hatia to Ahmedabad. The development comes after Passengers and Passenger Association urged the Ranchi division to start direct route to Ahmedabad.
Divisional Railway Manager Pradeep Gupta stated that there is no direct train for passengers to travel to Ahmedabad. Additionally trains going to Kerala, Bengaluru, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh are available only once or twice a week, resulting in heavy surge throughout the year. Commuters, mostly students, travelling to these cities will be benefitted from running a direct route.
DRM Gupta has stated that proposal was also sent for the Hatia-Durg train to run it every day. He told that as Hatia-Durg train that runs between Hatia, Jharkhand and Durg, Chhattisgarh via Sambhalpur, Odisha is only available twice a week, leading to constant surge in passengers.
Ranchi-LTT train
The proposal also requests the Headquarter to run the Ranchi-Mumbai LTT express via Lohardaga. Additionally a stop for Lohardaga is requested. The route is said to save time and fuel, eventually effecting the pocket. Currently, Ranchi-LTT Express runs only on Wednesday. Ranchi-LTT train takes its route along the Ranchi to Lokmanya Tilak Terminal route.
Antyodaya Express
The proposal sent requests the Headquarter to run the Antyodaya Express on more congested routes. Antyodaya Express is India’s one of the top-notch superfast trains. These trains are entitled to be fully unreserved, a move to benefit the common man. The train does have all modern facilities and is to run on the densest commute.
Antyodaya Express is similar to the Deen Dayalu Coaches; with only difference that Antyodaya express is a complete train. In terms of facilities and comfort, Antyodaya is said to be superior to any daily commuter train. Bio-toilets, fire extinguishers, LED light, dustbins along with other amenities at lowest costs are provided on Antyodaya Express.
