South sensation Rashmika Mandanna is one of the best actresses of the younger lot. In her career spanning half-a-decade, Rashmika has proved her mettle time and again. Despite her screen presence limited to Telugu and Kannada language films, Rashmika was recently recognized as the National Crush of India by search giant Google. Now, the actress is all set to make a mark in Bollywood with Sidharth Malhotra starrer Mission Majnu.
While her first film is yet to go on floors, Rashmika has bagged her second film in Bollywood and that too opposite Megastar Amitabh Bachchan. According to reports, Rashmika is all set to feature as the female lead in Vikas Bahl directorial film featuring Amitabh Bachchan.
“It is a slice-of-life comedy film which Bahl is directing. It stars Amitabh Bachchan, Rashmika Mandanna in the lead. There is also a large ensemble cast, including Neena Gupta and others,” a source close to the film’s team told PTI.
Tentatively titled Deadly, the film will be a heartwarming tale showcasing a father-daughter relationship. To be produced by Reliance Entertainment, the film will possibly go on floors in March 2021. Much details of the films have not been released yet.
Meanwhile, Rashmika was last seen in Bheeshma. Up next, she will be seen in Sulthan opposite Karthi. The film also marks her debut in the Tamil film industry.
