Honda Activa Electric Scooter: Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India, one of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, is gearing up to make a mark in the booming electric two-wheeler market in India. The Japanese automaker is all set to introduce an electric two-wheeler in the commuter segment and has plans to diversify and establish its swappable battery technology in India. Here’s what to expect from the Honda Activa Electric, the company’s first electric offering in the country.
Honda Activa Electric expected price in India
The price of Honda’s upcoming electric scooter, the Activa Electric, has not been officially announced. However, it is speculated that the scooter could be priced competitively and at par with other popular electric two-wheelers in India such as Ola S1 Air, Ola S1, Ather 450 Plus, and TVS iQube. Some reports suggest that the Activa Electric could be priced around Rs 1.10 lakh.
Honda Activa Electric expected features
The Honda Activa Electric is expected to come loaded with features such as LED lighting, alloy wheels, disc brakes, a mobile phone charging socket, a digital instrument cluster with full MID, and more. Practical features such as flat floor, hooks for nets, lockable storage in the front apron, maximised under-seat storage, and load-carrying rear grab handle could also be made standard across the range.
Honda Activa Electric expected specifications
The Honda Activa Electric will reportedly be based on the outgoing Petrol-powered Honda Activa chassis. Honda is expected to engineer it to suit the electric powertrain and add additional bracing to take the weight of the batteries. Honda’s own battery-swapping technology, called the Honda Mobile Power Pack removable battery, is expected to be deployed in the scooter. The Activa Electric is expected to be powered by a 48V motor that will be capable of producing 6-7 hp of power.

Honda Activa Electric’s colours
The colour options for the Honda Activa Electric are still unknown as the scooter has not yet been unveiled to the public. However, Honda is expected to offer similar paint options on the electric version as its outgoing ICE-powered scooter, which comes in six paint choices.
Honda’s Activa Electric is expected to debut in March 2024, and the company is likely to offer a comprehensive warranty on the scooter to boost consumer confidence. With its swappable battery technology, practical features, and competitive pricing, the Honda Activa Electric is sure to give other popular electric two-wheelers a run for their money.
