River indie e-scooter: The Indie e-scooter, which has been unveiled by Bengaluru-based electric vehicle start-up River, is the latest scooter to enter the electric two-wheeler market. According to River, this scooter is the first SUV scooter in the nation.
According to the startup, the Indie e-scooter has a total capacity of 55 litres, including a boot that holds 43 litres and a glove box that holds 12 litres. Other than this, the scooter will have a lot more unique features that are not present in other scooters in this category.

The company has provided a 4 kWh battery pack for the Indie e-scooter, and a 6.7 kW electric motor has been installed. According to the manufacturer, it takes 5 hours to fully charge this scooter’s battery from empty to 80 per cent capacity.
According to the manufacturer, this scooter has a riding range of 120 kilometres (on eco mode) and a top speed of 90 kilometres per hour when completely charged. The firm has provided three riding modes for the Indie e-scooter, the first of which is Eco, the second of which is Ride, and the third of which is Rush mode.
River claims that it is the first in its class to offer a high riding position, a smooth ride, and mobility on a range of road conditions. The scooter has 14-inch wheels. allows. It incorporates a lock and load pannier-stay that gives consumers various modification possibilities to suit various needs.
Design
When it comes to the design, the e-scooter features a distinctive tail lamp design and a characteristic twin-beam headlamp. Better handling and stability are provided by the clip-on handlebar, which was inspired by motorcycles and also safeguards the e-scooter panel in case of a fall.
The scooter’s riding position has been made easier to support a variety of riders. According to the manufacturer, it has the longest and widest seat in its segment, giving the user extra comfort. The Indi also includes a front food peg, a first for the Indian scooter market. The comfort of this scooter is enhanced by its telescopic front suspension and twin hydraulic suspensions at the back. This scooter is anticipated to begin shipping in August 2023.
