Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Royal Enfield has launched the all-new Himalayan 450 in India. The two-wheeler manufacturer has priced the new Himalayan 450 at Rs. 2.69 lakh for the base variant, and 2.74 lakhs for the Slate variant, Summit variant come with a price tag of 2.79 lakh, whereas, the top-end Hanle Black variant is priced at Rs. 2.89 lakh. All the prices mentioned above are introductory prices.
The new Himalayan gets a new makeover along with getting hardware updates. The company has offered Himalayan 452 in 5 new colours which include Kaza Brown, Slate, Salt, Slate Poppy Blue, Kamet White and Hanle Black. The new Himalayan 450 will compete with its competitors such as KTM 390 Adventure, Yezdi Adventure and BMW G310 GS in India.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Design
The all-new Himalayan 450 gets a completely rugged body specifically designed for Off-roading. Apart from this, Some other additions in the new Himalayan are a round headlight, windscreen, Wide fuel tank and upright rider triangle. In addition to these, the new ADV now comes with all LED lights integrated with taillight and turn signals.
Royal Enfield Himalayan 450: Engine and Performance
Himalayan 450 comes powered with a mighty 450cc liquid-cooled engine that churns out the maximum power of 40 bhp at 8000rpm and a peak torque of 40Nm at 5500rpm. The powerhouse comes mated with a six-speed gearbox. Other features of the Adventure bike include a TFT screen, Ride-by-Wire, Smartphone connectivity features with media controls and navigation, Switchable ABS and different ride modes- Eco and performance.
Suspension duties of the new Himalayan 450 are handled by WP front forks and an off-set mono shock. For safety, the bike gets disc brakes at both sides with dual-channel ABS.
