Engine details
The single-cylinder, 411cc, air/oil-cooled, fuel-injected engine that powers the Royal Enfield Himalayan generates 24.3PS and 32Nm. A five-speed gearbox is connected to the engine.
The same 373cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that drives the 390 Duke and the 390 Adventure, respectively, is used in both vehicles despite the 390 Adventure’s built to handle rugged terrain. The India-spec version of the vehicle’s engine is paired with a 6-speed transmission with a slipper clutch and a built-in quick-shifter.
Features
A semi-digital instrument cluster with a USB charging connector is standard equipment on the Royal Enfield Himalayan. On the LCD inset are a tripmeter, an odometer, a gear position indicator, a clock, and a temperature gauge. Aside from the fuel gauge, the cluster also contains a digital compass. A switchable ABS is included with the motorcycle, as well as a switch for the caution lights. The tachometer/speedometer that is built into the fuel gauge is analogue. Along with a sturdy tail rack to mount your baggage and a bash plate for added safety, the bike has other features.
KTM provides its traditional split LED headlights on the 390 Adventure, which are topped by a small wind deflector. Comparable to the 390 Duke’s instrument cluster. Split seats are provided for the bike. It also has an upswept exhaust to help it better traverse rivers. As an added measure of security, KTM has added cornering ABS, Street and Off-Road traction control modes to the ADV. A straightforward LCD cluster from the KTM 250 Adventure, the older sibling of the upcoming 390 Adventure X, is installed on it. Traction control and cornering ABS are other features the ADV X is missing.
