The change occurs as China struggles with its worst Covid epidemic since the pandemic’s beginning. The guidelines for overseas travellers have been announced in India for China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Singapore. The most reliable method to check virus are RT-PCR test.

The daily Covid tally in India is still modest, but authorities have increased their preperadness. In a high-level meeting last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi stressed that “Covid is not yet over.” In his monthly “Mann Ki Baat” radio address, he also counselled caution.
