Assistant Police Inspector (API) Sachin Waze has been dismissed from the police service, Mumbai Police said on Tuesday.
Waze is an accused in Mansukh Hiren death case and Antilia bomb scare case.
National Investigation Agency has invoked the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act against suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Waze in connection with the Antilia bomb scare case.
On Thursday, a special court had asked the jail officials in Taloja prison to provide medicines and items of daily needs to the former police officer and Shiv Sena leader.
API Sachin Hindurao Waze has been dismissed from police service. Order has been issued today under Provision of 311(2)(B) Constitution of India by Commissioner of Police, Greater Mumbai,” a top official said.
Waze was arrested on March 13, days after Hiran’s body was found in a Mumbai suburb. Waze was also seen in video footages, which showed him parking the car outside Antilia on February 25. The Opposition parties led by the BJP had cornered the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government over the alleged involvement of Waze in the matter.
