Saudi Arabia has now allowed its passenger flights to India

Air India has today informed that Saudi Arabia has allowed its passenger flights to India. Air India Express said that Saudi Arabia has allowed passenger flights to India under the Vande Bharat Mission.

In a tweet on Wednesday night, Air India Express clarified that its aircraft will not take passengers from India to Saudi Arabia. It clearly states that Air India Express will continue to carry passengers on its flights from Saudi Arabia to India under the Vande India Mission.

Saudi Arabia has on Tuesday suspended flights to and for of India as Corona virus infection has increased.

In an order issued on Tuesday, the Saudi Arabian Civil Aviation Authority (GACA) said that it is “suspending travel to and from the following countries India, Brazil and Argentina, including individuals who are in Saudi Arabia. Have visited any of the above countries 14 days before arrival”.

The order exempts passengers “who have official government invitations.” Saudi Arabia and the UAE live in large numbers. Five days ago, Air India Express said that the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority (DCAA) has imposed a 24-hour halt on their flight on August 28 and September 4 due to the arrival of two passengers who possess coronary virus infection-verifying certificates.
