Skoda Auto India has finally reintroduced the Kodiaq SUV in the Indian market with prices starting from Rs. 34.99 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted Skoda Kodiaq SUV comes in three trims – Style, Sportline and Laurin & Klement.
The 7-seater SUV is offered in India as a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) unit and is locally assembled at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India’s manufacturing facility in Aurangabad. The Kodiaq facelift competes with MG Gloster, Isuzu MU-X, Mahindra Alturas G4 and the Toyota Fortuner.
The new Kodiaq retains its predecessor’s silhouette but is differentiated via elements such as a bigger signature grille with double ribs, sleeker looking LED headlamps, new fog lamps, new front apron, and 20-inch dual-tone alloy wheels among other things. At the back, the new SUV in India from the stables of Skoda Auto gets a new bumper with aluminium trim, full LED tail lights, and C-shaped LED signatures.

With the facelift, the biggest change has happened under the hood of the SUV – it now gets a 2-litre turbo-petrol engine (190PS/320Nm) instead of the previously offered 150PS 2-litre diesel mill. Like before, Skoda has paired this unit to a 7-speed DSG (dual-clutch automatic) gearbox, which drives all the four wheels.
Zac Hollis, Brand Director, Skoda Auto India, said, “With the all-new Skoda Kodiaq, we build on the design aesthetic, comfort, engine and dynamic capabilities, along with thoughtful additions in the cabin. With several segment leading features and uncompromising safety, Skoda Kodiaq is a complete luxury package for the family, whether it is everyday driving or off-road adventures.”
The Kodiaq moniker is coming back to India after a hiatus of almost two years since the pre-facelift model was discontinued in early 2020 when the BS6 emission norms came into effect.
