Stock Market Update Today: Amidst mixed global signals, buying has been seen in the domestic stock market. Both Sensex and Nifty indices have strengthened in today’s trading. If the Sensex is up by about 300 points, then the Nifty has gone beyond 15900. All-round shopping is being seen in today’s business. Banks and financial indices on the Nifty are seeing a gain of more than half a percent.
On the other hand, auto and IT indices are also looking strong. Other indices including Metal, Pharma, FMCG, and Realty are also trading in the green.
At present, Sensex is up by 292 points and is trading at the level of 53,527. While Nifty is trading 86 points higher at the level of 15922. Buying is being seen in heavyweight stocks. 27 shares of Sensex 30 are trading in the green mark.
Today’s top gainers include TECHM, TATASTEEL, NTPC, KOTAK BANK, ICICIBANK, SBIN, and TCS.
Tata Group company Titan said that the outlook for its jewelery division for FY 2023 and mid-term is positive. Strong growth is expected during this period.
The company will get the benefit of network expansion, a gold exchange scheme, and the wedding season ahead.
Insurance company LIC will invest Rs 80.67 crore in the proposed rights issue of its joint venture LIC (Nepal).
The proposal was approved during the board meeting of the insurance company on Monday. The first annual general meeting of LIC will be held on September 27, 2022.
HDFC Bank said that it has received the approval of banking sector regulator RBI for a proposal to merge with its parent company HDFC. This merger is touted as the biggest transaction in the corporate history of India.
Prior to this, the merger has also been approved by the stock exchange.
