Diseases have become very common during the monsoon season. Due to water accumulation, there is an increase in insects, mosquitoes and microorganisms, due to which many diseases arise. Typhoid is a very common disease in the rainy season due to which humans remain troubled. Typhoid is caused by the bacterium S. typhi which starts growing in the intestine and bloodstream of the human being, causing many symptoms. This disease is contagious and can spread through direct contact, feces, etc.
Typhoid can happen only to humans and not to animals. Humans should be especially careful in the rainy season because it can spread to us from another infected person. S. typhi reaches the intestinal wall through the mouth and grows on the bloodstream. By reaching the bloodstream, it damages other cells of the body and the body’s immune system cannot fight this bacteria because the S. typhi lives in the cell of the host. If typhoid is ignored then it can cause a lot of damage.
Diagnosis methods of typhoid
To diagnose typhoid, doctors detect by taking samples of blood, stool, urine and bone marrow of the infected person. Apart from this, doctors ask patients about their living habits, lifestyle and food habits so that the main cause of the disease can be known.
Symptoms of typhoid
Symptoms of typhoid usually begin between 1-3 weeks after infection. Two main symptoms which are found in almost everyone are fever and rash. Typhoid patients may have a problem of high fever, in which the temperature can go up to 104 degree fahrenheit . Whereas the rash occurs in the neck and abdomen.
Other symptoms of typhoid include dizziness, loss of appetite, headache, constipation, bloating, vomiting tendency, diarrhea, and other health issues.
Causes of typhoid
Typhoid is caused by S. typhi bacteria which can be spread through food, water, feces, contact with an infected person.
