Uttar-Pradesh: Supreme Court has refused to stay the bulldozer action

SC Hearing on Bulldozer Action: The Supreme Court has refused to stay the bulldozer action in Uttar Pradesh. The Supreme Court said on Thursday that the action of bulldozers cannot be stopped. The court has asked the UP government to respond in 3 days. A petition was filed on behalf of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind in the Supreme Court against the action of running a bulldozer in Prayagraj.

What was said by the UP government in the court?
During the hearing, senior advocate Harish Salve told the Supreme Court that the cases in which action has been taken have been given notice in advance. Whether it is from Prayagraj or Kanpur. During the hearing, SG Tushar Mehta on behalf of the UP government said that our stand was the same in the case of Jahangirpuri in Delhi. No affected party came from the demolition.

He said that Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind filed the petition, which is not directly affected. On this, the court said that do not talk about the affected party / party now. When a political party files a petition, it has its own vested interests. Senior advocate Harish Salve also raised the point of SG. He said that the court should see who the petitioner is. Some people apply just after seeing the newspaper report.

The next hearing of the case will now take place on Tuesday next week. The Supreme Court told the UP government that any sabotage action should be done through legal process. The court said that there are also reports that this is an act of retaliation. Now we don’t know how true this is. These reports can be true or false. If such demolition is done then at least whatever is being done should be done in accordance with the process of law.
