Tata Blackbird: With the successful launches of the Nexon, Harrier, and Punch SUVs, Tata Motors is getting ready to introduce a new SUV to take on the popular Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos. It is predicted that Tata Motors would place the Blackbird SUV in between the Nexon and Harrier SUVs.

The C-segment market in India contains some high-quality vehicles with a lot of features, as can be shown. Hence, Tata must offer something equally as good if it hopes to compete in this market. The Blackbird was assigned this task. To create a vehicle similar to the Creta, Tata planned to team up with the Chinese business Cherry. Nevertheless, this alliance broke down and the “Blackbird” project was shelved due to recent political issues between China and India.
Blackbird’s removal was like moving back one step, but Tata realised it had to bring a C-SUV nonetheless. Tata revisited Nexon’s X1 platform and made adjustments to make it suitable for this market. It produced a brand-new coupe SUV with the newest characteristics. The new SUV with the moniker Curvv was unveiled earlier this year. The local automaker will make significant strides with this new vehicle, which is built on an improved version of the X1 platform.
