Design details

According to Autocar, the Curvv SUV, which is Tata’s top launch of the year, stands out from its boxier rivals like the Creta, Seltos, Grand Vitara, and Hyryder because of its stylish appearance and unique coupe-like roofline. Its final design, which has undergone only minor modifications since making its debut at the Auto Expo last year, is hinted at in recent patent photos.

Notable changes include a revised grille with a combination of piano black and body colour finish, an expanded LED light bar similar to the Nexon facelift, and reworked front and rear bumpers symbolic of the Harrier and Safari facelifts.

Expected Powertrain details

There will be several different engine options available for the Curvv. According to our sources, the Curvv EV will be the first on the market, providing it an advantage over competitors like the impending Creta EV.

Tata will release the SUV on the market with both petrol and diesel engine options in addition to the Curvv EV. Actually, the model on show at the gathering is a Curvv that runs on diesel.

Following the Curvv EV on sale, Nexon’s 1.5-litre diesel engine Curvv will be available for purchase. A 1.2-litre direct-injection turbo-petrol engine with 125 horsepower and 225 Nm will after that be available as a petrol engine option for the Curvv. A CNG alternative will also be available. Depending on the powertrain, you may also anticipate a variety of gearbox options.

Expected launch timeline

With an aggressive sales target of 48,000 units yearly, including 12,000 of the Curvv EV, production of the Curvv EV is scheduled to begin in April at Tata Motors’ Ranjangaon plant. We anticipate the EV to be launched in the second or the third quarter of the year.
