Tata: From electric SUVs to new CNG variants, the company is all set to launch these cars in India in 2023

Tata: Tata Motors was proactive in 2022, introducing new EVs, ideas, and limited-edition cars. Given that the automaker has many new models in development that are anticipated to be released at some point in 2023, we anticipate the trend to continue. Here is what Tata will be launching this year

Tata Harrier and Safari Facelift

For the first time, Tata will refresh its mid-size Harrier this year. The SUV should receive improved features, including a 360-degree camera and driver-assistance technology, in addition to updated aesthetics. Additionally, the Safari, its bigger sibling, must receive comparable technological and cosmetic improvements.

CNG versions of compact cars

India is putting more of an emphasis on flex fuels and alternative fuels, and factory-fitted CNG cars are becoming increasingly widespread. Tata already offers CNG for the Tiago and Tigor, and in 2023 it’s anticipated that the Punch, Altroz, and Nexon will follow suit.

Tata compact electric SUV

The company already offers several reasonably priced tiny cars in its electric fleet, but a larger electric SUV should be coming soon. The Hyundai Creta-sized, Harrier-based EV, which will sit above the Nexon EV Max in Tata’s lineup and be unveiled at the 2023 Auto Expo, is anticipated.

Tata Punch EV

Punch, an all-electric vehicle has already been verified, and we may get to see it during the 2023 Auto Expo. With the same Ziptron drivetrain as the automaker’s previous EV models, it will fit perfectly between the Tiago EV and Nexon EV. Similar to the smaller Tiago EV, the Punch EV may be available in short- and long-range models with a stated range of up to 300 kilometres.

These are the confirmed models that will, at the very least, be introduced this year. Before it enters production in 2024, we might also witness a close-to-production version of Tata’s Curvv EV concept.
