Tata Harrier and Safari: Duo Receive 5 Stars in BNCAP Crash Tests; Details

Tata Harrier and Safari: Bharat New Car Assessment Program (BNCAP) have started crash testing with Tata Harrier and Safari. Registering one more milestone, both these SUVs have scored an excellent score while securing 5-star ratings in the BNCAP crash tests. The agency was testing both the SUVs on safety from December 15. After the stringent crash tests, yesterday evening, the BNCAP released their score and ratings. Check more details below. 

Tata Safari and Harrier Crash Test Scores

Both Tata Safari and Harrier scored 30.08 out of 32 points in adult occupant protection and 44.54 out of 49 points in child occupant safety. Both SUVs easily survived each test in the series including the movable deformable barrier test and chest region protection in the frontal offset. 

Earlier, Both Tata and Safari scored 5-star ratings in the Global NCAP crash tests securing similar scores in the Adult and child safety categories. 

What Helps These SUVs to Score 5 Stars

Both Harrier and Safari have received a worthy update recently which comes with many safety improvements too. Both the new models come based on the OMEGARC architecture which is derived from Land Rover’s D8 platform. Both models come with top-end safety features such as ESC, VSM, HSC, HAC, ABS with EBD, 3-point seatbelts, seatbelt retractor, blind spot monitor, Level 2 ADAS, hill-hold control, ISOFIX mounts and 36– degree surround camera.
