Tata Punch: A instance of fire in a Tata Punch has been reported from Bulandshahr in Uttar Pradesh. This is practically the second time in the past month that a Tata Punch SUV has caught fire. A video of this incident is also spreading like wildfire on social media. The user who posted this video titled it “Stop the claim of 5-star safety.” The cause of the SUV fire, however, is yet unknown.
Tata Punch catches fire
A person by the name of Shivam Jawla published a video on the social media platform Twitter on May 20. The Tata Punch’s bonnet has been blown open, and the fire has severely damaged the engine area, as seen in the video. The user commented, “Tata Motors, stop claiming a 5-star safety rating, my one-year-old Tata Punch car caught fire.”
Tata’s Response
Shivam was invited to give his primary and backup contact information, email address, and dealer details via Direct Message (DM) by the official Tata Cars Twitter account shortly after this video was broadcast. The company’s handle indicated that they would be contacted shortly over this.
The reason behind the fire
The cause of the fire in the Tata Punch cannot currently be determined.
