Tata Punch Facelift: Recently, Tata Motors unveiled the Punch EV, which has a host of new features as well as an updated external style. This brings up an important question, When will the Punch with internal combustion engine get a redesign to go along with its all-electric counterparts? Tata has stated that a facelift for the ICE-powered Punch will take place in the second half of 2025.
Tata Punch Facelift ICE to launch in 2025
In order to bring the Punch SUV’s look in line with the more contemporary Tata vehicles, Tata Motors should update it with new design elements, much like what we’ve seen on the facelifts of the Nexon and Harrier. Expect the tiny SUV to seem brand-new thanks to modifications to the grille and front bumper as well as subtle adjustments to the headlamps and hood.
However, Shailesh Chandra, MD of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited, in an interview said that to set it apart from its electric vehicle equivalent, it will have a distinct feature set and unique stylistic cues.
No change in the powertrain expected
A 1.2-litre petrol engine producing 86 horsepower and 113 Nm powers the Punch today. It may be paired with an AMT transmission or a 5-speed manual gearbox. In addition, CNG is an option. With the Punch redesign, we do not anticipate any powertrain changes.
