Tata Punch iCNG variant to have two cylinders and a spacious boot, all we know

Tata Punch: At the Auto Expo 2023, Tata Motors displayed the Harrier EV, Sierra EV, Avinya EV, and Curvv EV. It has been reported that this company is also developing Punch’s fully electric counterpart. It will be made available on a modified ALFA platform. Punch will be powered by the EV powertrain from Ziptron. But it wasn’t on exhibit at the 2023 Auto Show. CNG Punch, though, was undoubtedly there.

All about Tata Punch

The Tata Punch CNG was discovered at the Auto Expo and could soon be released in India. There are four versions of it now: Pure, Adventure, Accomplished, and Creative. The Tata Punch ICNG may be the first SUV to come equipped with a CNG powertrain from the factory. This vehicle will be the first in its segment to receive a new 30-litre dual-cylinder engine. It will be under the luggage mat on the back floor. This will make boot space available.

This merely implies that Tata Punch CNG family purchasers will have a decent choice. This vehicle will also have a spare tyre, which will be located underneath the trunk. Additionally, this vehicle has received a 5-star Global NCAP rating. It may be equipped with features like an electric sunroof, R16 diamond-cut alloy wheels, projector headlamps, LED DRLs, and six airbags. Punch will have a 2445 mm wheelbase. It will be 3827 mm long. Its height is 1615 mm, and its width is 1742 mm.

In Tata Punch CNG, a micro switch has also been provided in terms of security. In this vehicle, the engine cuts off as the fuse is being filled. Additionally, it has fire protection, leak detection, and thermal incident protection. It features a single modern ECU, direct CNG start, and automatic fuel switching.

A 1.2-litre Revotron engine with Dyna-Pro technology powers the Tata Punch CNG. At 6000 rpm, it generates 77 horsepower. Also available in CNG mode is torque of 97 Nm. CNG tanks can hold 60 litres whereas gasoline tanks can hold 37 litres. The Maruti Suzuki Swift CNG and the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios CNG will compete with the Tata Punch iCNG.
