Tata Safari Red Dark Edition: At Auto Expo 2023, Tata debuted the Red Dark edition of the pre-facelift Safari. Today, the automaker has unveiled the same limited edition for the current iteration of the SUV. Based on the Accomplished+ 6-seater automatic version of the facelifted car, this Tata Safari Red Dark edition has several exterior updates. Design details
With its mean-looking black exterior and striking red accents, the new Safari Dark Edition is apart from the regular model in a number of ways. Along with the red-coloured/dark-chrome accents, it also has red leatherette seat upholstery and a dashboard with a black and red leatherette design.
Powertrain details
The 2-liter diesel engine that powers the Tata Safari produces 170 PS and 350 Nm. Either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox is compatible with this diesel engine. But the automatic transmission is the only feature included with the Red Dark edition.
Features onboard
The features include an illuminated logo on a tilt and telescopic steering wheel, a 31.24 cm Harman touchscreen infotainment system, a 26.03 cm digital instrument cluster, a 10-speaker JBL audio system, an enhanced Harman AudioworX with 13 JBL audio modes, Alexa voice commands with Car to Home functionality, and 19-inch Dark Spider alloy wheels.
Highlights include the iRA 2.0 connected technology within the vehicle, the 11-segment ADAS with adaptive cruise control and stop-and-go capability, seven airbags, emergency call and breakdown call assistance, ventilated seats in the first and second rows, a 6-way powered driver seat with memory and welcome feature, a 4-way power co-driver seat with electric Boss mode, a bejewelled terrain response mode selector with a display, and front LED fog lamps with cornering functionality.
