Tata Tiago: The Tiago has reached a noteworthy milestone of 500,000 sales, according to a statement from Tata Motors. In the past 15 months, 1 lakh units have been sold. The celebration kicked off with a symbolic roll-out at the Sanand facility in Gujarat, which serves as the Tiago’s home ground.

For the Tata Tiago, there are two different 1.2-litre engines: one with 86PS/113Nm and one with 73PS/95Nm. For the petrol engine, there are two standard transmissions: a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT. The CNG efficiently burns 26.49 km/kg of fuel.

The Tiago’s most affordable CNG model costs Rs. 8.04 Lakh, while the least costly CNG model costs Rs. 6.43 Lakh. The Tiago automatic vehicle is available in two variations, with prices starting at Rs. 6.86 Lakh.

Customers choosing Tiago are, according to the brand, 35 years old on average. The urban markets have contributed 60% of the overall sales, while the rural markets have contributed 40%. Additionally, 71% of hatchback consumers bought their first car in FY23, indicating the hatchback’s growing appeal among first-time car purchasers.
One of the most adaptable platforms in the Tata lineup, the Tiago has undergone multiple changes throughout the years. Naturally aspirated petrol, diesel, turbo-petrol (in the JTP), and compressed natural gas versions have all been offered for sale. The Tiago now has an electric powertrain, which was introduced last year. It has also been offered for sale as the Tiago NRG in a cross-hatch version. In January 2020, the Global NCAP crash tests gave the Tiago a 4-star rating.
