Tata Tiago EV: There is just one question that is asked about EVs, and that is the range. Range is the determining factor for many potential EV purchasers, and for good reason—a few extra kilometres can make all the difference in the world. Other considerations come in a distant second. Nobody had ever succeeded in producing inexpensive EVs before Tata Motors. Tata Motors has demonstrated that it now has a stronghold on the EV market, despite the fact that there are new competitors.
The Tiago EV is currently the most affordable electric car, but its attraction extends beyond its cost as we wait for fresh competitors to arrive, and there will be plenty which is coming soon.

Tata Tiago EV Range and Specifications
If you want a significant amount of mileage before charging, you should choose the Tiago EV with a long-range battery pack. The 24kWh battery pack is the better option with its estimated 315km range when compared to a 19.2kWh battery pack.
The number will vary depending on the type of driving and the conditions but plan on travelling about between 190 and 200 kilometres. It’s a good thing that the Tiago EV has drive modes because Sport provides smooth acceleration while normal mode dulls response. Although the Tiago EV’s acceleration is not as quick as you might anticipate from an EV, it is smooth and feels sufficiently energetic when driven in Sport mode.
it is similar to using the brakes without applying pressure to them with quick deceleration thanks to regenerative braking found on much more expensive EVs.

Pros
- An all-inclusive EV bundle with a starting price under 10 lakh rupees. Total return on investment
- Zero exhaust emissions and a green image will appeal to those who care about the environment.
- A real-world range of about 200 km is sufficient for city commutes and urban inhabitants (if you charge at home)
- Selectable regenerative braking is a very welcome feature
- Peppy behaviour in “S” mode, whilst “D” mode is relatively subdued sorted road manners as a result of the suspension’s stiffer springs and lower centre of gravity Its smooth ride, lack of gears, light controls, and small size make it the perfect city car.
- The well-designed interiors are appealing and easy to use. 8-speaker Harman audio system, cruise control, auto headlights and wipers, connected car technology, and more feature
- sturdy construction. The 4-star GNCAP rating for Tigor EV is comforting.
Cons
• Slightly more pricey than the Tiago Petrol AMT by 4 lakh rupees. It requires a charging station to be installed at your residence because you are paying for the technology and being an early adopter. For a lot of people, this is not feasible.
• The 200 km range limits this vehicle to city driving. Long highway stretches are avoided, and the Tiago’s stiffer suspension lets you feel the road more. The impact of bad roads is felt; the top speed is only 120 km/h; there is no spare tyre; you must make do with a puncture repair kit. We advise purchasing a backup.
• Longer “full tank” charging periods than an ICE vehicle. It’s recommended to charge overnight.
• There are a few exclusions, like the “P” mode on the shifter, alloy wheels, and adjustable rear headrests, among others. Moreover, a unique Tata vehicle that can only fit four people (best for 4 adults)
• Tata’s after-sales support is hit or miss in terms of quality. still a gamble
• Because it’s a new technology, there may be hiccups.
