Tata Punch CNG
Tata Punch is one of the best compact SUVs available in the Indian market right now. It not only offers great comfort along with amazing looks but also world-class safety. There aren’t many cars in the class that can compete with this car. Recently the manufacturer confirmed the CNG variant that will be launched in the first half of this year. Today we will give you all the details of the car.
The Punch has a 1.2-litre petrol engine with 86 PS/113 Nm of torque that is coupled to a five-speed manual transmission and an optional five-speed AMT. The CNG versions employ the same engine and a five-speed manual transmission to produce 77PS and 97Nm.
Tata Altroz CNG
Tata offers the Altroz with three different engine choices: an 86PS/113Nm 1.2-litre petrol engine, a 110PS/140Nm 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine and a 90PS/200Nm 1.5-litre diesel engine. Standard transmissions are a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed dual-clutch automatic, respectively, for the naturally aspirated gasoline engine. A five-speed manual gearbox (MT) will be used to gear the CNG kit, which might be coupled to the 1.2-litre NA powerplant. 95Nm and 84.88PS of output are available while using CNG.
The Atroz has a seven-inch touchscreen entertainment system with connected car technology and a semi-digital instrument cluster as standard equipment. Cruise control and ambient lighting are also included. For the Altroz, Tata provides a variety of customization choices. A sunroof will be included with the Altroz CNG. Dual front airbags, ISOFIX child seat anchors, an auto park lock (available on DCT only), and rear parking sensors are all included for passenger protection.
Tata Punch Electric
The Tata Punch EV’s drivetrain’s specifications remain a secret. The Tiago EV’s powerplant, though, might also be the one in use here. Even if the PMS motor only produces 74 horsepower and 114 Nm of peak torque, Tata might still manufacture a more powerful version. At least two driving modes, City and Sport, will be available for the model. A 24 kWh battery pack with a stated 300 km of range on a single charge might be made available by the automaker. The same battery powers the Tiago EV, which claims to have a range of 315 km (MIDC cycle).
The Tata Punch Electric’s prototype resembles its petrol version. However, it has a rear disc brake rather than the ordinary model’s rear drum brake. It includes a flat-bottom steering wheel, an 8-inch TFT indicator cluster, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connection, and automatic climate control.
