Top 3 Cars to come with an EV variant
1. Tata Punch EV
The electrified Punch compact SUV, which Tata Motors is currently developing, should debut before the year 2023 is out. The Punch EV is apparently scheduled to begin production by June 2023, with a holiday launch possible. It will be built on an ALFA architecture that has been significantly modified. The platform, which will support a sizable battery pack and forgo the transmission tunnel, is known as the Gen 2 architecture. Tata’s Ziptron technology, which consists of a battery pack and a permanent magnet synchronous motor, is anticipated to be used in it. A 26kWh and a 30.2kWh battery pack may be used, and it might have a 300-350km range.
2. Tata Harrier EV
At the 2023 Auto Expo, Tata Motors displayed the Harrier EV concept. The Harrier EV production version would be introduced in the nation in 2024, according to Tata Motors. Naturally, the Safari, the Harrier’s younger sibling, will receive an electric version in 2024–2025. The Harrier EV idea is built on Tata’s Gen 2 EV architecture and the OMEGA ARC platform, which was originally developed for Land Rover. To adopt electrification, the platform has undergone extensive reengineering. In order to make an interior floor that is flat, Tata engineers removed the transmission tunnel and fuel tank region.
The SUV will use a dual-motor all-wheel drive system, according to Tata. The SUV might be available with front-wheel drive. The new model is anticipated to include a battery pack ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh, and it may have a real-world range of 400–500 km. The new models will have the ability to charge from a vehicle to a load (V2L) and from a vehicle to another vehicle (V2V).
Tata Curvv EV
The Curvv EV design was been unveiled by Tata Motors in April 2022. The SUV Coupe’s production version will undoubtedly appear in 2024. The new SUV Coupe will actually be available with both ICE and electric powertrains. It is built on the ALFA platform from Tata’s GEN 2 platform, which has undergone significant modification. It is anticipated to receive a bigger battery pack with an estimated 400 km range.
