Toyota FJ Cruiser goes out of production after 17 years, all you need to know

Toyota FJ Cruiser: The FJ Cruiser SUV, which Toyota has been selling since 2006, is no longer being produced. Toyota debuted its 1,000-unit limited edition for the Middle Eastern market in September 2022, and it was still in circulation.

Toyota FJ Cruiser engine details

The FJ Cruiser had a 4.0-litre V6 engine from Toyota that produced 270 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque. With the option to turn off Toyota’s off-road electronics like active traction control, crawl control, vehicle stability control, etc., it also has a locking rear differential system that is electronically controlled.

With its retro-inspired appearance and straightforward approach to off-roading, the Toyota FJ Cruiser has had tremendous success since its debut in 2006. It included elements from various models, including the Land Cruiser Prado, Hilux pickup, and 4Runner SUV, and used almost exclusively Toyota components. Global sales of the FJ Cruiser were made. The Middle East and Japan both purchased this car from North America.

Last edition details

The single exterior colour option for the Final Edition was beige, however, the mirrors, grille, and body cladding received a unique black coating. The interior of the car was also given the beige treatment, with the centre console getting two beige inserts on either side and the seats getting a dual-tone beige-black colour scheme. Each vehicle was numbered to indicate the rarity of this FJ Cruiser and that it was a limited edition car.
