Engine
The Toyota Hyryder and Maruti compact SUV both have 1.5-litre petrol mild-hybrid and 1.5-litre petrol strong-hybrid engines with 103 PS and 116 PS, respectively. The latter features three driving modes: petrol, hybrid, and pure electric vehicle. It also boasts self-charging technology. The same 1.5-litre mild-hybrid petrol engine is used in the CNG models, however, it produces 87.83PS and 121.5Nm less power. There is just a five-speed manual available for them. The strong hybrid is only available with an e-CVT, whereas the mild hybrid is paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or an optional six-speed automatic transmission. Only the top-of-the-line mild hybrid model is available with all-wheel drive.
