Ritesh Agarwal: Ramesh Agarwal, father of Gurugram’s Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal, died after falling from the 20th floor of his apartment at around 1 pm on Friday. Expressing the suspicion of suicide, the police has got the post-mortem done and handed over the dead body to the relatives. The matter is being investigated thoroughly. Ramesh Agarwal lived with his wife at The Crest condominium, DLF Phase-4. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Virendra Vij says that the police received information on Friday that a person had died after falling from the 20th floor. The deceased has been identified as Ramesh Agarwal, father of Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal. Ritesh Aggarwal, his mother and his newly married wife Geetansha were present in the flat at the time of the accident. Ritesh Agarwal was just married to Geetansha Sood on March 7, 2023.
Police suspect suicide, investigation underway
Ritesh Agarwal did not live in this apartment with his father. Ritesh Agarwal’s family is originally from Rayagada, Odisha. Here his father Ramesh Agarwal used to run a small shop selling SIM cards. On March 7, eminent personalities of the country and the world attended Ritesh Agarwal’s wedding.
In this, Masayoshi Son, Chief Executive Officer of Japanese company Soft Bank also reached. From whom Ritesh and his wife took blessings by touching their feet. Apart from this, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal also came to bless the bride and groom. Gurugram Oyo founder Ritesh Agarwal’s father Ramesh Agarwal (65) had broken all his bones when he fell from the 20th floor. This also became the cause of death. The doctor who did the postmortem has revealed this.

Ramesh Agarwal’s fall from the 20th floor was not even known to his family. While Ritesh as well as other family members were present in the flat at the time of the incident. When the security guards of the society saw a man lying in a pool of blood on the ground below, he informed his supervisor. After this the matter was informed to the police. Police reached the spot, got information about the deceased and the identity of the deceased was established. After this, the relatives immediately reached the private hospital with them. Where the doctors declared him dead.

No complaint filed by family so far
In the preliminary investigation of the police, even the matter of suicide cannot be ruled out. The railing of the 20th floor apartment from the balcony of which Ramesh Agarwal fell is three and a half feet high. In such a situation, falling from here cannot be an accident. However, the police have not received any suicide note from the spot. There has been no complaint from the family either.
