McLeodGanj of Himachal Pradesh is famous for its tall pine trees, houses painted in Tibetan colors and immense peace spread far and wide. The residence of the Dalai Lama is also at this place, for whose darshan thousands of people reach this district every year. Many places can be visited in McLeodganj like Namgyal Monastery, Bhagsu Falls, Tsugalgkhang, Triund, Dharamsala and Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association Stadium. The distance from Delhi to McLeodganj is about 500 kms. Along with your car, you can also go there by train and bus. From Delhi the train goes to Pathankot and from there you can go further by bus. If you want to go to Mussoorie, then you can reach Mussoorie by train from Delhi to Dehradun and from there by bus. One can get a room of 1200-1500 rupees to roam in Mussoorie. On the other hand, in the off-season, a room is available for Rs 800-900.

In Almora, you can visit many special places with Chitai Temple, Zero Point, Katarmal Sun Temple. You can do trekking, bird watching, heritage viewing there. It is about 370 kms from Delhi, which can be covered in 9 hours. To reach Almora, you reach from Delhi to Kathgodam by train and then catch the bus and reach Almora. The distance from Delhi to Kasol is about 536 km, the journey of which takes 11-12 hours. Kasol is a beautiful hill station of Himachal Pradesh.
