Triumph Speed 400 & Scrambler 400 X: Official announcements have been made about the brand-new Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400 X. These are the first motorcycles produced by the alliance between Triumph and Bajaj, and they will be made in India by the latter company. While the design of the Scrambler 400 X is inspired by the Scrambler 900, the Speed 400 takes style ideas from the Speed Twin 900.
Triumph Speed 400 & Scrambler 400 X engine details
A 398cc, liquid-cooled engine powers both versions and produces 39.5 BHP at 8,000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Through a torque-assist clutch, the engine is connected to a 6-speed gearbox.
Design details
The “teardrop” fuel tanks and circular components, including the LED headlight, LED turn indicators, rear-view mirrors, and LED tail lights, give the Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X a neo-retro aesthetic.
To strengthen the neo-retro mood even more, the distinctive Triumph design element has been added. The high-quality hardware that all models have also has an impact on the motorcycles’ overall posture and appearance.
Features
The Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X include all-LED lighting, ride-by-wire, dual-channel ABS, switchable traction control, an immobiliser, a partially digital instrument cluster, and other features.
