Powertrain details
The updated TVS Apache RR310 still uses the 312.7cc reverse-inclined single-cylinder engine created by BMW Motorrad. It has a 34 PS and 27.3 Nm output. TVS has made major upgrades to lessen the harsh vibrations of the prior bike. The four riding settings on the RR 310 are Track, Sport, Urban, and Rain, which correspondingly cap the engine’s power at 28.5 PS and 25 Nm and 34 PS and 27.3 Nm. According to TVS, the last two are practical for commuting and may contribute to increased fuel efficiency both within cities and on highways.
The reverse-inclined, liquid-cooled, 313cc single-cylinder engine generates 34PS and 27Nm, which is 0.3Nm less than the TVS Apache RR 310.
Features
The TVS Apache RR 310 never stops surprising with its wide range of features. The TFT display now allows for the storage and viewing of papers like the motorcycle’s registration card and licence in the instrument cluster. A dynamic engine rpm limit indicator, a day trip metre and an overspeed alarm are just a few of the even more sophisticated features that TVS has introduced. Other notable features include an all-LED lighting system, a slip-and-assist clutch, and dual-channel ABS with variable levels of engagement. Sadly, it can neither be completely turned off nor disabled for the back wheel.
The Apache RR 310 and BMW G 310 RR have the same instrument panel. The Apache RR 310 and the G 310 RR both have four riding modes: Sport, Track, Urban, and Rain. The bike’s power output is at its highest in Sport and Track modes, but it decreases to 25.8PS and 25Nm in Urban and Rain modes.
BMW decided to employ the same disc brakes from the G 310 R and G 310 GS for the G 310 RR instead of the petal-style disc brakes found on the RR 310. Team Bavaria has chosen the Michelin Pilot Street tyres over the Michelin Road 5 tyres, which the Apache has been running since 2020.
