Engine details
Being the most powerful 160cc motorbike in the nation, the Apache RTR 160 4V is driven by a 159.7cc single-cylinder oil-cooled engine that produces 19.2PS at 9250rpm and 14.2Nm at 7250rpm in Sport mode. The three riding modes: Sport, Urban, and Rain—that TVS has added to the RTR 160 4V are also available.
A 163cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine that develops 15.2PS at 8500rpm and 14Nm at 6500rpm powers the Hero Xtreme 160R. It functions in conjunction with a five-speed gearbox. A 4-valve engine with somewhat more power and torque than the currently available type will power the forthcoming Xtreme 160R. Furthermore, it will be BS6.2 and E20 fuel compliant.
Features
The headlamp, tail lights, and indicators of the 2022 TVS Apache RTR 160 4V are all LEDs. The top-end disc and Special Edition models come with a completely digital, multifunctional instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Another neat feature is the “Glide Through Traffic” (GTT) function, which is effectively a low-speed assist that makes it much easier to crawl through traffic by assisting the bike to go through it without having to use the clutch hard.
The Xtreme 160R has a fully digital console in addition to LED lighting, which holds all the important readouts such a speedometer, tachometer, odometer, trip metre, fuel level reading, and time. The bike can also connect to Bluetooth-enabled smartphones, allowing the console to get SMS and call notifications.
