Engine and transmission
An air-cooled, fuel-injected, single-cylinder 197.7cc engine with an oil cooler powers the Apache RTR 200 4V. In Sport mode, it generates 20.82PS and 17.25Nm. Urban and Rain modes, on the other hand, limit the output to 17.32PS at 7800rpm and 16.51Nm at 5750rpm, respectively. A 5-speed transmission connects the engine to the wheels. The Apache 200’s “Glide Through Traffic” feature is useful while travelling through congested areas of the road. To avoid the bike coming to a sudden stop, the ECU gradually increases the revs. Similar to what you get on Suzuki’s large-capacity motorcycles.
A 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine paired to a six-speed gearbox powers the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, producing 24.5PS at 9750 rpm and 18.7Nm at 8000 rpm. The redesigned bike is BS6 Phase-2 ready and claims to have a fuel efficiency of 37kmpl.
